FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q:   What time is check-in and check-out?
A:   3:00 pm on Friday and 3:00 pm on Sunday

Q:  Tell us about sleeping arrangements?
A:  There are 4 sleeping areas.  2 bedrooms, a loft and 2 pullout sleepers in the living area.   In the larger bedroom we have a set of twin bunks and a twin over full size bunk. 3 adults or 5 children (12 and under) can sleep in this bedroom.  In the other bedroom we have one queen bed for the person who likes more privacy.  In the upstairs loft that overlooks the lake, we have 6 twin beds.  We have a queen sleeper couch and twin sleeper couch in the living area. We can sleep 12 people, each in their own bed. 

Q:  Bedding and Linens?
A:  Each bed is made up with fresh, clean sheets and pillow cases for the pillow provided.  Guests supply their own cover/blanket.  We provide 1 towel and washcloth per guest.

Q:  What about food for the weekend?
A:  Your group supplies the food for the weekend. Our kitchen should have all you need to prepare and serve your meals.  A coffee bar is provided at Beaver Lake Landing.  You will find coffee, sugar, tea bags, cider packets and hot chocolate.

Q:  What if we don’t have a group of 12?
A:  You can still come with less.  The cost will be the same.   Occasionally we offer hosted weekends, which are designed for ladies who want to come for the weekend.  There is a host and you can simply register to be a member of the group on a space available basis.  Cost is $110 plus tax for the weekend per person.

Q:  Do we have to clean when we leave?
A:  Beaver Lake Landing has it’s own housekeeper, but to keep costs down, we ask that upon check out you strip the linens off your bed and place them along with the towels and wash clothes in a pile in the room. Place all the trash in the garage next to the recycling bins for glass, aluminum cans and plastic. Load and start the dish washer with the dishes that remain. Empty the refrigerator and take all your personal belongings.

Q:  How much space is there for each person to work?
A:  Each person will have ample room to spread out and work all weekend long with out being disturbed.   There are 8 - eight foot tables and two 6 foot tables are available.   The tables are grouped in pairs which allows 4 guests to work together.  Each person has an adjustable leather office chair  that is very comfortable.  Everyone has excellent lighting whether day or night, sunny or cloudy.

Q:  What tools will be available for the guests to use?
A:  The workstation houses a sizzix machine with 2 complete upper/lower case alphabets, numbers, and a variety of other dies. There are more being added regularly. All the tools Creative Memories sells,  a 12x12 paper cutter, a larger cutter for those bigger jobs,  a 900 Xyron machine, various items from Stampin Up, a shadow box, idea books, plastic templates including all the puzzlemates, a wide variety of punches, a host of rubber stamps, and in the near future a computer loaded with various scrapbooking fonts and color printer, plus a sewing machine for the hottest rage in scrapbooking.   For you quilters, there is an ironing board, plenty of outlets, an iron, and a cutting table.  We have a computer with over 1000 different fonts for journaling and a photo quality printer. Q:  Do you have internet available?
A:  YES, we have HIGH SPEED, WIRELESS internet available for our guests at the lodge.

Q: Do you allow pets?
A: No

Q:  Do you permit smoking?
A:  Outside only.

Q:  What is your payment policy?
A:  A $100 non-refundable deposit will be required to secure your reservation.  The balance of the payment will be due one month prior to your arrival at Beaver Lake Landing.  If you cancel your weekend with less than one month's notice, you still must make your payment in full.  If I can find another renter a portion of your payment will be refunded at the discretion of the owner.  I will require a credit card number on hold for damages beyond normal wear or breakage.

Q:  How do we get the key?
A:  I will email you your personal code when your payment balence is received. It will open the garage door.  You will lock up the facility when you leave and exit thru the garage door.

Q: Can I make a phone call?
A: All calls from Beaver Lake Landing are local.  You can use your calling card/1-800 number or your cell phone.  Cellular coverage varies with the provider.  Sprint and Verizon are on roam, Cingular has good coverage.  The number at the facility is 715 822 8832.
